I work with the homeless almost any day at City Walk. One of my biggest goals has been to show them God’slove, that most of us know that there is hope, that they have valueand they could overcome thistrial in their lifetime and get back on their feet. They ld me that they are usually notallowed to bring their backpacks inside when they go take. Whenthey come back out to polebarn, their backpacks were collectedby staff and thrown in the dumpster. As a result, most of these backpacks contained all the men had to their titles,including vital documents like their birth certificates, andphotos and letters from adored ones. I noticed a woman playing solitaire on her bed. I figuring out if shewanted to play a card game. Oftentimes she ld me she should getkicked out if she was caught playing cards with others.
