I still have success with their dress pants though, and they fit my budget better than comparable stuff from Ann Taylor, though I just recently bought my first biggirl suit from AT.
Though as a cusp size, I’ve also had trouble with Loft these past few seasons as long as shapeless, boxy stuff just doesn’t look good on me. I just wrote about LOFT this week, how it seems as though either I know it’s younger or I am older. With all that said… In spite the fact that I have many LOFT pieces in my closet from previous seasons that I still adore, either way, clothes just don’t feel right to me.

I just think slouchy look with occasional crop or skinny is a very specific look and one that is on its way out unless you’re on a college campus. With LOFT, they obviously made a conscious decision to be drastically different from Ann Taylor. Generally, I think Ann Taylor has done a really well done with classics with a twist. Just think for a moment. I especially love their moto inspired stuff, it’s professional enough to wear to work but also looks like you are hip and pay attention to fashion.

Now look, the reason I read yours daily instead of theirs occasionally is that you are never shilling -you report your true experience and that authenticity is next to impossible to find! I used to love Loft and would consistently find a few pieces there that I really wanted each season.

Ann Taylor however had been much improved IMO. I don’t have a Loft near me but they used to be a must stop whenever I was near one. Of course, I think quality has gone downhill. Dresses that were adorable and could easily be dressed up or down are knit blend with little detailing. Also, last year and a half or so is very inconsistent for me with them. Sweaters that used to be at least a cotton blend are now poly/acrylic/viscose/pig lips brand. Now regarding aforementioned fact… They’re still hit and miss on sizing but styles are more classic with a twist rather than just old and boring. Very disappointed in direction they decided to go. As a result, accessories that used to pop and make a statement are now more meh. Known I need structure.
I reckon they’ve watered down and cheapened brand while still keeping about identical price point, So in case anything.

Tees that were substantial and could take wear and tear now easily thin with holes. It appears to be on sale now. I recently discovered a product called UnShrinkit -https.//is designed to unshrink sweaters by loosening tight wool fibers, and I can say that it saved two of mine. Bottle treats up to 4 sweaters. That’s great as I never look for to order final sale items that are non returnable. Basically, I have never had any problems returning. Nevertheless, both QVC and EVINE give you 30 days from date of delivery to return. QVC also sells as is products for a huge discount and return policy for these items is quite similar! With that said, plus have really nice brands like Liz Claiborne NY and Kate and Mallory and a bit of their bestselling items is bringing me back to Boden, really -I can finally get kind of length I need for their Breton to feel comfortable! Lands’ End is my goto for dresses and sweaters but many have great success with their footwear and And therefore the quality is usually stellar, to Lands End secret is tally buying it in tall. I’m pretty sure I prefer being that it has many well documented unethical practices. So knit dresses are amazing Know what, I LOOOOVE toprints, and tostyling. Boden is my ‘lovehate’ brand.
