Women’s PantsWhile rebellious women began wearing pants in earlier decades, in the 1930s there were a few social situations that were acceptable to wear pants in public. Double button ‘sailor front was common as was a side zipper or button closure. They’ve been usually created from a durable cotton fabric like twill or wool for winter. Then again, with a high fitted waist, pants generally were wide legged trousers with a front crease or very wide flowing Culottes that looked like a skirt when not moving. Winter snow pants were wide but fitted at the ankle to prevent snow going in one’s boots. Go Tim Gunn!

I’m more than aware that I’m not the size I use to be! Just as long as we’ve gained some weight over the years doesn’t mean we don’t need to be fashionable any more!

Loads of designers refuse to make clothes for them. They pretend that they don’t even exist. It gonna be as easy for women to find great looking clothes as it’s for the junior sized woman. Please provide us with clothes we can be proud to wear! Have you heard of something like this before? Ready and willing to spend their hard earned money, Women are a large percentage of the shoppers out there. Thank you for sending out the challenge to designers to create real fashion for the woman of today. Fact, hooray for Mr Gunn! I am a size 12 14″ and often find the shirts/blouses in large XL and up are made with less than appealing fabrics that really belong on couch pillows and not my back.
